Together, for a Positive Footprint.
“The Yves Rocher Foundation – Institut de France was born more than 20 years ago from the family’s desire to give back to the plant world part of what we owe it. The encounter with the Institut de France Chancellors Pierre Messmer and Gabriel de Broglie and their support provided the Foundation with independence and a breath of life. Since the beginning, in the contemporary village of La Gacilly in France, to now throughout the world, our vocation is to take actions to leave a positive footprint on the planet. We firmly believe that individuals can change the world. But environmental and biodiversity issues are essential for our future and are often ignored or neglected.
The role of the Yves Rocher Foundation is precisely to focus and take actions for biodiversity. We choose to do so through four sustainable programs: by assisting women who have created active communities and who are dedicated to this cause; by planting trees—which are symbolic of putting down roots—around the world; by preserving plant species, which are unique and important for everyone; and by capturing
moments in time through the enlightening vision of photographers. The 325 laureates of the “Terre de Femmes” Award, the 50 million trees planted by the end of 2015, the 50 countries in which these actions are implemented and the hundreds of thousands of supporters are more than results; they are calls to continue, to dream and to share.
Together, to leave a positive footprint.”
