Naomi Fagla Medegan

Implementing a back-to-work scheme focused on collecting plastic waste for recycling.

This talented young visionary has turned Gbobètôs (‘binmen’ in the local dialect) into neighbourhood heroes.

With her Gbobètô association, Naomi has succeeded in implementing a back-to-work scheme focused on collecting plastic waste for recycling. Known as the ‘Plastic Counter’, her initiative is helping to establish an inclusive, sustainable sector, and has already led to over 20 tonnes of plastic waste being recycled into pellets.
