The Association pour la Promotion des Arbres Fertilitaires, de l’Agroforesterie et de la Forestation (APAF) is active in a host of different African countries, where it introduces ‘fertilising’ trees into farmers’ fields. During many years, the Foundation worked with the APAF to disseminate ancestral knowledge locally about growing and safeguarding these nourishing, protective and sacred trees.
