Trees supporting animal welfare and combating climate change
Vincent Brossillon, co-manager of GAEC Brossillon, farms 180 hectares on a fully organic family farm dedicated to Limousin cattle production.
The nominated 23-hectare plot is divided into 16 micro-parcels using hedgerows and intra-plot tree alignments, with an impressive number and variety of trees. With over 900 trees of 20 different species, this plot earned Vincent Brossillon a well-deserved award.
The jury praised Vincent Brossillon’s commitment to tree planting and integrating them into his farming system. This long-standing family tradition, spanning six generations, places trees and hedgerows at the heart of animal welfare, climate change mitigation, and landscape preservation.
