A Strong Commitment to Agroforestry
The Yves Rocher Foundation, in partnership with the Tree Fund, is proud to support initiatives that place biodiversity at the heart of agriculture. In this spirit, we are partners of the Agroecological Practices Competition, organised by the Réseau Haies and the Chambers of Agriculture as co-organisers, under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture. This competition highlights passionate farmers who are reinventing their practices for a greener future and actively contributing to the agroecological transition.
The Agroecological Practices Competition – Agroforestry: Showcasing Sustainable Practices
The Agroecological Practices Competition – Agroforestry, co-organised by Réseau Haies and the Chambers of Agriculture under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture, recognises farmers implementing innovative and inspiring agroforestry practices. •Establishment: For farmers creating new agroforestry systems by planting trees and hedgerows.
•Management: For farmers sustainably managing existing agroforestry systems, maximising benefits for production, biodiversity, and the landscape.

Honorary Awards

Le Jardin de QUIETOUS (Hinterland of Var)
A Market Garden Eden Where Trees Bring Shade and Life
In 2020, Marion Flachon and her partner Tom Barbaroux, young farmers and the ninth generation of agriculturalists on the coast, stumbled upon an Eden in the hinterland of Var: an abandoned half-hectare woodland in an agricultural zone. They transformed it into a polyculture system where trees provide shade for vegetable crops.
It was their optimisation of biodiversity layers that convinced the Résilients jury.

Ferme du château (Orchard Pasture)
A Successful Alliance Between Livestock Farming and Fruit Production
This farm sustainably combines livestock farming and fruit production, with an orchard renewed over the past decade featuring 280 trees per hectare and a diverse range of fruit species, including local mirabelle plums, quince trees, and pear trees.
Together, Let’s Cultivate a Greener Future!
The Yves Rocher Foundation, in partnership with the Tree Fund, is proud to support these committed farmers. Together, let’s keep sowing the seeds of a greener world! We also extend our thanks to Réseau Haies and the Chambers of Agriculture for co-organising the competition under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture.
