Planting the 100 millionth tree in La Gacilly

It is in Brittany, in his native village of La Gacilly, that Jacques planted his first tree – an oak – as part of the ‘une école en arboretum’ project for schoolchildren led by The Yves Rocher Foundation, which he had just founded. That was 30 years ago.

100 million trees later...

For Jacques Rocher, nothing seemed more appropriate than returning to his home village to plant the 100 millionth tree of our programme in the company of his family and youngest grandson!

It was a highly emotional moment that also marked the next stage of our adventure, which involves another new challenge: planting 35 million more trees by 2025!
