FESTIWILD Festival

FESTIWILD Festival

Festiwild is an unique Festival, exploring the Role of Wild Nature in society.

Founded in 2018, Festiwild is an annual three-day festival held at the former Sainte-Croix Monastery in the Drôme region, usually in September.

Mission and Objectives

The primary mission of Festiwild is to raise public awareness of the importance of wild nature and to encourage reflection on our relationship with the environment. The festival fosters dialogue between the arts, sciences, and nature, showcasing the beauty and richness of untamed landscapes.

History and Growth

Since its creation, Festiwild has grown significantly, with each edition focusing on a specific theme. The Iris Foundation has supported Festiwild since 2024, further strengthening its environmental impact.

Although the Yves Rocher Foundation is not listed as an official partner, it shares similar values in biodiversity conservation and could potentially take part in similar events.

The festival offers a diverse programme, including theatre performances, concerts, lectures, hands-on workshops, nature walks, and exhibitions. Designed to engage a wide audience—from children to adults—the activities aim to foster dialogue between scientific experts and artists.

Partnerships and Support

Festiwild is supported by several organisations, including financial backing from the Yves Rocher Foundation, which also occasionally plays an active role in the festival.

In summary, Festiwild is a vibrant festival that blends creativity and science to inspire a new generation of biodiversity advocates.
